What are the best Web Design courses to do in the UK?
Looking for something affrordable (not more than £500) & that will give me great all round knowledge.Also preferably a short course, not a university degree.
A tricky question. What sort of web design do you want to do? Many Web Designers specialise in building just static websites but others (more developers than designers) specialise in the design and build of dynamic websites. Static sites being websites that only designers update but dynamic sites being websites than the customer can update using an Content Management System.
What is your current knowledge of IT like? I’d recommend getting a booking like ‘Learn Html in 24 Hours’ and starting with that – it’s the way I started. Those books are great. Think of a subject/business you could design for (e.g. do a website for an imaginary gardener). Think of things which relate to that subject – e.g. green colours, leaves, gardening tools, flowers. Perhaps make an ‘inspiration’ list off of the computer. Then try to use these in your design.
It’s all about practice – the more you do the better you will get.
