• Whenever you will be hiring an electrician, first make sure that the person has the registration certificate. It is to make sure that the person is well qualified.

• Give a thorough observation to all your work to get it done by the electrician. You must check all the sockets and plugs etc to check whether they need to be fixed or not.

• Incase your electric appliances are damaged or if they have exposed wires then there is a need to get them properly checked by a professional electrician. It will ensure the safety of the electrical device.

• Once when all your electrical work is done then, cover the sockets with plastic covers which cannot be removed by children very easily. This prevents children from pushing objects into sockets and getting themselves injured.

• In case of emergency one should have know how about the first aid; because any accident can prove to be fatal for a person.

• Investment in a chemical extinguisher is a very good idea. It is due to the fact that water is a good conductor of electricity.
